THE GOSPEL - What Must I Do To Be Saved?

THE GOSPEL - What Must I Do To Be Saved?

SALVATION PLAN

If you died right now, would you be certain you would go to heaven?

The Bible says that you can know for sure whether you will have eternal life in heaven.

1 John 5:13 "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may KNOW that you have eternal life."
The Bible says that there is no one who is good enough to get to heaven on their own merits or good works [The only "work" required by God for salvation is to believe in Jesus - Jn 6:29]

Romans 3:10 "There is none righteous, no not one" In other words, salvation cannot be earned. It is not a reward for obedience to God. Salvation is a free gift from God." [Water baptism, communion are "works" to be done after salvation].

Titus 3:5 "He saved us, NOT on the basis of deeds (or "works") which we have done in righteousness..."

"For by grace (unmerited favor) you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves, it (salvation) is the GIFT of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9

Ro. 11:6 "And if [salvation is] by grace (unmerited favor), then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace (unmerited favor) would no longer be grace (unmerited favor)."

Romans 4:5 "But to him who does not work (for his salvation) but believes on Him who justifies (declares righteous) the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness."
Sin is what has separated us from God (Isa 59:1-2; Eph 2:1-3). Sin is any word, thought or
something you do against God's will (Ro 14:23b, James 4:17). The Bible says that everyone has
sinned (Ro 5:12, Ro 3:23).

Romans 3:23 "for ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
The Bible says there is a penalty to be paid for sin."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages (or penalty) of sin is death..."
The good news is that Jesus has completely paid in full the penalty or wages of our sin
for us" (Heb 7:25).

Ro. 5:8 "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Jesus died in our place (1 Peter 3:18, Mark 10:45) and has offered us eternal life as a free gift."

Romans 6:23 "...but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The way we accept this FREE GIFT of eternal life is by confessing that Jesus is Lord ("Lord" means both "God" and “master”) and by believing that Jesus died for your sins (2 Cor 5:21, Jn 1:29) and was raised bodily from the dead" (1Cor 15:3-6; Lk 24:34-43; Jn 20:27).

Romans 10:9-10, 13 "if you CONFESS with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and BELIEVE in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, YOU SHALL BE SAVED; (10) For with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (13) For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) WILL BE SAVED."

If you have never called upon the name of the Lord Jesus so that you would be saved, pray the following prayer right now.

Dear heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner. I believe that your Son Jesus is both God and man. I believe that He died on the cross to pay the penalty of death for my sin and that He rose bodily from the dead. I now accept Jesus as my Lord and my Savior and I ask your Holy Spirit to take up residence in my heart. Thank-you for cleansing me of all of my sins and for your free gift of eternal life. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

The Bible says that at the moment you believed in Jesus: All your sins (past, present, & future) were forgiven (Col 1:13) and you now HAVE eternal life (1John 5:13). "Eternal" means forever, not temporary! You can never lose your salvation.

Jesus says that you will never perish (Jn 10:28). You have become "a new creation in Christ" (2Cor 5:17). "You are no longer your own for you have been bought by Christ"(1Cor 6:19-2). God has put his seal of ownership on you (2Cor 1:21-22) and nothing (not even you yourself) can separate you from the love of God (Ro 8:38-39 - You are a "created thing").

Jesus said he will not cast out anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). You "have crossed over from (spiritual) death to (spiritual) life" (Jn 5:24). You can never be condemned to hell (Ro 8:1) even if you sin (Matt 5:19) because Jesus was condemned in your place.

God the Holy Spirit has taken up residence inside you and will be in you FOREVER (Jn 14:16-17, 26).

If you could lose your salvation and be sent to hell, God the Holy Spirit would have to go to hell with you. I repeat you can never lose your salvation! When you physically die your spirit and soul will immediately go to heaven to be with God (2Cor 5:8, Phil 1:23). And when Jesus returns for his church (Jn 14:1-3) your body will be resurrected into a glorified body (Ro 8:29-30; 1Cor 16:52-53; 1Thess 4:16-17). Now that you have made a commitment to Christ, try sharing it with others.

May the Lord richly bless your walk with Him.

If you have made a commitment to Jesus as your Savior, Please leave a comment to testify of your new life in Christ or drop me an email at bbmrdp@gmail.com - I would love to hear from you and to pray for your new walk. "May the Lord Bless you, and make His face to shine upon you"

Now that you have received Christ, start by reading the letters of the New Testament.
May God richly bless you!!

In Christ's Love
