Let's Dig
The Bible shows us many truths in many different applications. One such way is through types. God thought very highly of them, and if He made them such an important part of His word- How ought we to be?
One example is found in Hebrews 8:5, where The Lord declares,
“who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, "SEE," He says, "THAT YOU MAKE all things ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN."
- Find a type (foreshadow) in Scripture and study it.
- Look for the type and its fulfillment. Or look for a type and its future fulfillment.
- Find its meaning. Dig!
- Find out how it relates to Jesus
The treasures they hold of the richest of God/Jesus are absolutely divinely inspiring!
